IMVA welcomes new Co-Chair

Aaron Hawkins brings a wealth of experience in public service, advocacy, and the arts to his role as Co-Chair of Independent Music Venues Aotearoa.

A former Mayor of Dunedin, Aaron has long championed the role of arts, culture, and grassroots infrastructure in shaping vibrant communities.

He is also a veteran of student radio, as a former Music Director and Breakfast host on Radio One 91FM.  

Aaron’s deep understanding of local government, combined with a lifelong passion for music makes him a critical voice in advancing IMVA’s mission to support our grassroots live music sector.
